Dubai's most concentrated after-dark district, from a 52nd-floor speakeasy to the glamorous dining-bars. The verified DIFC bars, our highest-rated first.
When the towers empty, DIFC doesn't go home, it goes to the bar. This is the densest stretch of serious drinking in Dubai, where the after-work cocktail and the late table share the same few blocks around Gate Avenue and Gate Village, and where most of the city's glossiest dining rooms keep a bar worth sitting at on its own.
The range runs from 1920, a speakeasy on the 52nd floor of ICD Brookfield Place, to the long-running glamour of Zuma, La Petite Maison and Amazónico, with Il Gattopardo's rooftop and The Guild's lively bars in between. SLAY and Bull & Bear bridge dinner and drinks. Every venue below is a DIFC room we've confirmed is live, ordered by rating, so the strongest rooms lead.
Every venue here is live in our index right now. Open one for its full menu, hours and a table.

DIFC's bars cluster tightly enough to walk between three or four in a night, which is the whole appeal. Arrive before seven and most of the bar-led spots seat walk-ins; after that, and especially on a Thursday, the dining-bars want a reservation. Many of these rooms also run a happy hour earlier in the evening, covered in our DIFC happy hour guide.
Park in the Gate Avenue or Gate Village basements, or take the DIFC metro and walk in. The rooftops and high-floor bars like 1920 are worth timing for sunset; book those ahead, as the view tables go first.
By our live ratings, SLAY, Bull & Bear and UCHI lead, with The Guild, the 52nd-floor 1920 and Il Gattopardo's rooftop close behind. The ranked list above pulls live from our index, so it reflects what's open and rated right now.
1920 sits on the 52nd floor of ICD Brookfield Place with Art Deco glamour and a view, while Il Gattopardo runs an Italian rooftop. Both are worth booking for sunset, when the high tables go first.
It's arguably the best district in Dubai for it. The financial crowd fills the bars from six, and the venues cluster so tightly that walking between a few is easy. Thursday is the peak. Several run a happy hour earlier on, listed in our DIFC happy hour guide.
Zuma, La Petite Maison, Amazónico and Chic Nonna bring the dressed-up, see-and-be-seen energy, all dining destinations with bars to match. They sit at the higher end and reward a booking, especially at the weekend.
Not for the bar-led spots if you arrive before seven. After that, and for the dining-bars and rooftops, a reservation is the safe move, particularly on Thursday and Friday nights when the whole district is busy.
