Day one of the weekend, 160 live windows. The twenty best Friday happy hours, from a teachers' afternoon deal to late-night pours at Hawkerboi.
Friday happy hour in Dubai starts at lunch. It's the first day of the weekend here, nobody's at a desk, and the deals adjust: Goose Island Tap House in JVC runs Teachers' Friday at AED 175 from 1 to 6pm, five daytime hours built for people who spent the week in a classroom, and SLAY's buy-one-get-one covers noon to 8 for everyone else.
The night stretches further too. Hawkerboi in JLT runs a Late Night Happy Hour from 10 to midnight, from AED 30, one of very few second windows in the city. In between sit the usual leaders, Yard Sports Bar from AED 38, Girl & the Goose from AED 27, Jones Social at AED 15, plus Alba's Friday Cocktail Sessions at AED 50 and the Thursday-to-Saturday rooftop crews on the Palm. Around 160 windows run in all. The top twenty are below.

See it liveThink in three shifts. Daytime, noon to 6, is the quiet gold, brunch crowds go elsewhere and the bars pour cheap. Sunset, 5 to 8, is the classic window everywhere. Then Hawkerboi's 10pm round exists for the night you didn't plan properly. Not many cities give you all three.
One warning, Friday brunch is a rival magnet. If your group can't choose between the two, the daytime happy hours at SLAY or Trattoria cost roughly a third of a brunch package and leave the evening free.
Yes, more than any other day. SLAY pours buy-one-get-one from noon, Trattoria runs noon to 6 from AED 30, and Goose Island's Teachers' Friday covers 1 to 6pm at AED 175. Friday daytime is the least crowded good drinking of the week.
Goose Island Tap House in JVC runs it every Friday, 1 to 6pm, AED 175. Built originally for teachers starting their weekend, open to anyone who shows up. It's become a JVC institution.
Hawkerboi in JLT, 10pm to midnight, from AED 30. Second windows are rare in Dubai, this is the one to know about when dinner ran long and the night isn't done.
Yard Sports Bar at TopGolf tops the live table, 5.0 rating, from AED 38 with hours running 9am to 2am. Girl & the Goose, CQ French Brasserie and Jones Social hold the next spots. The ranking above updates itself.
Depends on the budget and the stamina. Brunch runs AED 250 to 500 for a fixed window, while a daytime happy hour gets a table of four through the afternoon for a fraction of that. Plenty of people do happy hour at 4 after a brunch that started at 1. We don't judge.
