Every specialty coffee café on our index, 130-plus and counting, ranked by live rating. From Al Quoz roasteries to a 24-hour Nad Al Sheba bar.
Specialty coffee in Dubai used to mean a trip to an Al Quoz warehouse. Today more than 130 cafés on our index carry the tag, and the city's best cups are spread from Jumeirah's villa streets to JLT towers and the new communities out past Nad Al Sheba. This is the whole map, ranked.
BOCASU leads with a perfect 5.0, sushi and specialty coffee in a calm Japanese room in Al Quoz. Harvest & Co. is the heavyweight, 4.9 from more than 9,600 reviews. PARKA Bakehouse in Nad Al Sheba matches that rating with bakes to go with the brew, CAJŪ in Downtown pours Brazilian coffee traditions, and Uptown Social in JLT serves locally roasted coffee in a pet-friendly room. The Grey, Late Lounge and Chocolate Molecule carry Jumeirah's flag near the top. Roasters with their own beans, RAW Coffee Company, Nightjar and Grandmother Coffee Roastery among them, sit further down, because the ratings reward a good room as much as a great extraction.
Every venue here is live in our index right now. Open one for its full menu, hours and a table.
See it liveJumeirah holds the most specialty cafés of any area, close to fifty, and Al Quoz follows with eighteen, so a two-stop crawl between Al Wasl Road and Alserkal Avenue covers a big slice of this list. The newer residential communities, Nad Al Sheba, Dubailand and JVC, are where the fastest-rising names now open.
If you're buying beans, go to the roasters. RAW, Nightjar, Earth Roastery and Grandmother Coffee Roastery all roast in-house, and a bag from the source beats anything on a supermarket shelf. Many of these bars run a rotating filter alongside the house espresso, ask what's on pour-over before defaulting to a flat white.
By live rating, BOCASU in Al Quoz at a perfect 5.0, then Harvest & Co., PARKA Bakehouse, CAJŪ and Uptown Social, all at 4.9. Harvest & Co. carries by far the most reviews, over 9,600. The list re-ranks as ratings move.
Jumeirah, with close to fifty specialty cafés on our index, followed by Al Quoz with eighteen. Our two area guides, linked below, rank each district on its own.
RAW Coffee Company and Nightjar in Al Quoz, Earth Roastery, and Grandmother Coffee Roastery, which handles its beans from farm selection to bagging. All four roast in-house.
VASO Coffee House in Nad Al Sheba is open around the clock, specialty coffee, pastries and light bites, rated 4.8. It's the late-night answer when every other bar on this list has closed.
Harvest & Co., Uptown Social and Ferment Journey are all set up for laptops, and Cup in Al Quoz doubles as a collaborative workspace. Avoid the weekend brunch peak and any of them will hold you for a morning.
